Abstract
Welche Wirkungen hat die durch ausgewählte Initiativen und Programme der VolkswagenStiftung und der Alexander von Humboldt-Stiftung geförderte internationale Langzeitmobilität, die von Postdoktoranden aller Wissenschaftsbereiche und ihren Gastgebern auf verschiedenen Ebenen wahrgenommen werden, und wie nachhaltig ist die Zusammenarbeit zwischen ehemaligen Stipendiaten, Gastgebern und Gastländern?
Der Fokus der Studie beschränkte sich dabei nicht nur auf positive Nutzen- und Mehrwertaspekte, sondern untersuchte die gesamte Bandbreite der Wirkungen, auch die negativen. Darüber hinaus wurden die Auswirkungen aus zwei Perspektiven untersucht, nämlich aus der Sicht der Stipendiaten und aus der Sicht ihrer Gastgeber. Schließlich wurde weder ein Vergleich der Programme und Initiativen, noch der Stiftungen, noch eine Bewertung der Wirksamkeit oder Leistung der Förderung angestrebt.
Abstract (english)
What are the impacts of long-term international mobility funded by selected initiatives and programmes of the Volkswagen Foundation and the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation that post-doctoral researchers of all academic fields and their hosts perceive at various levels, and how sustainable is the cooperation between former fellows, hosts and host countries? The focus of the study was not limited to positive benefits and aspects of added value but it explored the whole range of impacts, including the negative ones. Moreover, the impacts were investigated from two perspectives, namely that of the fellows and that of their hosts. Finally, neither a comparison of the programmes and initiatives, nor of the foundations, nor an evaluation of the effectiveness or performance of the funding was intended.
