Abstract
BRIDGE ist eine vom Bundesministerium für Verkehr, Innovation und Technologie (BMVIT) finanzierte Initiative zur Schließung der "Förderlücke" zwischen Grundlagenforschung und angewandter Forschung im Bereich der Einzelprojekte, mit dem vorrangigen Ziel, die Potenziale von Grundlagenforschung und angewandter Forschung gemeinsam weiter zu entwickeln. Unter dem gemeinsamen Dach "BRIDGE" werden vom Fonds zur Förderung der wissenschaftlichen Forschung (FWF) und der Österreichischen Forschungsförderungsgesellschaft mbH (FFG) zwei thematisch offene Förderungsprogramme in abgestimmter Weise durchgeführt: "Translational Research Programm" (TR) des FWF und "Brückenschlag Programm" (BR) der FFG. Technopolis wurde im Oktober 2008 mit dieser Evaluierung beauftragt, und hat die Konzeption, Umsetzung, Prozesse und Organisation, Zielerreichung und, soweit feststellbar, auch Wirkungen des Programms analysiert.
Abstract (english)
BRIDGE is an initiative financed by the Federal Ministry of Transport, Innovation and Technology (BMVIT) to close the “funding gap” between fundamental research and applied research in the field of individual projects, with the primary objective of jointly develop the potentials of basic research and applied research. Under the umbrella of "BRIDGE", two open funding programmes in regard to the topic are organized in a coordinated manner by the Fund for Promotion of Scientific Research (FWF) and the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG): "Translational Research Programme" (TR) by FWF and “Brückenschlag Programme” (BR) by the FFG. Technopolis was commissioned with this evaluation in October 2008, and has analyzed the concept, implementation, processes, organisation, the achievement of objectives and, as far as can be ascertained, also the impacts of the programme.
