Abstract
Eval kit4market
Abstract (english)
The funding programme kit4market addresses companies that can develop syste-matic analyses of markets in order to develop strategies for Austrian companies and technologies developed in Austria with regard to a successful market entry. The Aus-trian Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology funds the develop-ment of such analyses by way of grants using de minimis aid framework. kit4market addresses the need for support of those Austrian companies that – in preparation of a successful market entry through the participation in (infrastructure-related) projects in foreign countries – lack the requisite information and/or networks in the country/market targeted. The programme also aims at reducing the information asymmetry with regard to the value added of technologies Made in Austria that po-tential buyers could have and at creating an impact on the assessment criteria used in (public) procurement processes towards a more modern, state-of-the-art approach. The programme only started in 2016 and is currently in its second stage. The chan-ges made during the transition from the first to the second stage were sensible and effective. Especially the change in the programme’s country focus away from count-ries outside the OECD is a clear optimisation and corresponds to the reality of the target group. Furthermore, the modification of the assessment criteria made the pro-gramme much more effective.
