Abstract
In diesem Artikel werden die Entwicklung und Bedeutung von Forschungsstrategien an Hochschulen, insbesondere im Kontext des Umbruchs im Hochschulsystem seit den 1980er Jahren thematisiert. Anhand der FH Technikum Wien wird gezeigt, wie Forschungsstrategien als Instrument zur Fokussierung und Steuerung von Forschungsaktivitäten dienen und welche Herausforderungen und Chancen sich daraus für die Fachhochschulen ergeben. Besonderes Augenmerk liegt auf der Integration von Forschung und Lehre, der Einwerbung von Drittmitteln und der Schaffung nachhaltiger Strukturen für Forschung und Entwicklung.
Abstract (english)
This article discusses the development and significance of research strategies in universities, particularly in the context of changes in the higher education system since the 1980s. Using UAS Technikum Wien as an example, they show how research strategies serve as tools for focusing and managing research activities, and the challenges and opportunities this presents. Special attention is given to the integration of research and teaching, securing third-party funding, and creating sustainable research structures.
