Abstract
Die Hauptbotschaften, die in der Zusammenfassung des Innovationsunions-Wettbewerbsfähigkeitsberichts vorgestellt werden, bestätigen, dass sich Europa im Zustand eines "Innovationsnotfalls" befindet, der den Aufbau einer Innovationsunion erfordert, die für den Erfolg der Europa-2020-Strategie für Wachstum und Beschäftigung unerlässlich ist. Dieser Bericht stellt die umfassendste Veröffentlichung der statistischen Daten und der wirtschaftlichen Analyse von Forschung und Innovation aus europäischer Perspektive dar. Sie vereint in einem einzigen Dokument die Informationen, die erforderlich sind, um die angeborene Komplexität der europäischen Wirtschaft aus innovativer Sicht richtig zu verstehen. Der Bericht und die anhängenden Länderprofile werden auch die Konzeption und Entwicklung ehrgeiziger und realistischer nationaler oder regionaler Innovationsstrategien unterstützen, die mit den besonderen Stärken, den wirtschaftlichen Strukturen und politischen Zielen der einzelnen Länder sowie mit einer europäischen Gesamtansicht der gemeinsamen Herausforderungen in Einklang stehen .
Abstract (english)
The main messages presented in the executive summary of the Innovation Union Competitiveness report confirm that Europe is in a state of "Innovation emergency" which makes the building of an Innovation Union essential for the success of the Europe 2020 strategy for growth and jobs. This report constitutes the most comprehensive publication to date of statistical data and economic analysis on research and innovation from a European perspective. It brings together in a single document the information needed to properly understand the innate complexity of the European economy from an innovation point of view. The report and the annexed country profiles will also support the design and development of ambitious and realistic national or regional innovation strategies, consistent with each country's particular strengths, economic structure and policy objectives as well as with an overall European view of the common challenges before us.
