Abstract
Für KMU in den peripheren Regionen Tirols stellt die Handhabung eines entsprechenden Innovationsmanagementkonzeptes eine besondere Herausforderung dar. So verfügen diese Unternehmen nur über geringe finanzielle und personelle Ressourcen, um in ausreichendem Maß Forschung und Entwicklung zu betreiben. Vor diesem Hintergrund wurde die Initiative „TIC-Net Tirol“ („Technology, Innovation and Cooperation Network Tyrol“) 2003 ins Leben gerufen. Ziel dieses Programms war die Förderung von Innovationen im Rahmen von Kooperationsprojekten zwischen Institutionen aus dem wissenschaftlichen Bereich (Fachhochschulen, Universitäten und andere Forschungseinrichtungen) und KMU sowie von KMU untereinander, um periphere Regionen Tirols durch wirtschaftliche Vernetzung mit zentraleren Gebieten Tirols zu stärken. Bei dem vorliegenden Bericht handelt es sich um die Ex-Post-Evaluierung des Programms TIC-Net Tirol, die von der KMU Forschung Austria im Auftrag der Wirtschaftskammer Tirol im Zeitraum Jänner bis Juni 2007 durchgeführt wurde. Wesentliche Schwerpunkte der Evaluierung sind die Analyse der Ergebnissen und Wirkungen des Programms.
Abstract (english)
For SMEs in the peripheral regions of Tyrol, the handling of an innovation management concept constitutes a particular challenge. For example, these companies have only a limited amount of financial and human resources to carry out sufficient research and development. Thus, the "TIC-Net Tirol" ("Technology, Innovation and Cooperation Network Tyrol") initiative was launched in 2003. The aim of this programme was to promote innovation within the framework of cooperation projects between scientific institutions (universities of applied sciences, universities and other research institutions) and SMEs as well as between SMEs, in order to strengthen the peripheral regions of Tyrol through economic networking with more central areas of Tyrol. This report is the ex-post evaluation of the TIC-Net Tyrol programme, carried out by SME Research Austria on behalf of the Economic Chamber of Tyrol from January to June 2007. The main focus of the evaluation is the analysis of the results and effects of the programme.
