Abstract
Das strategische Programm Innovatives Oberös-terreich 2020 befindet sich in der Halbzeit seiner Umsetzung. Mit dem Standort- und Technologie-bericht Oberösterreich 20171 liegt nun eine fun-dierte Diskussionsgrundlage zu aktuellen Ent-wicklungen und politischen Herausforderungen vor. Die im Folgenden erläuterte Empirie zeigt, dass Oberösterreich seine gute Position als Innovationsregion mit der anziehenden Konjunk-tur halten und in einigen Bereichen sogar aus-bauen konnte. Die strukturellen Besonderheiten Oberösterreichs begründen einerseits den wirt-schaftlichen Erfolg, sind aber andererseits, wie sich zeigt, auch mit Herausforderungen in der langfristig Entwicklungen des Standorts verbun-den. Neben dem Bezug zum aktuellen strategi-schen Programm Innovatives Oberösterreich 2020 liegt ein Hauptaugenmerk des Berichtes auf der Gegenüberstellung mit nationalen sowie internationalen Vergleichsregionen.
Abstract (english)
The strategic programme Innovative Upper Austria 2020 is halfway through its implementation. With the Upper Austria 20171 Location and Technology Report, a well-founded basis for discussion on current developments and political challenges is now available. The empirical data presented below shows that Upper Austria has been able to maintain and in some areas even expand its good position as an innovation region as a result of the economic upturn. On the one hand, the structural characteristics of Upper Austria are the reason for its economic success, but on the other hand, as can be seen, they are also connected with challenges in the long-term development of the location. In addition to the reference to the current strategic Innovative Upper Austria 2020 programme, a main focus of the report is on the comparison with national and international comparative regions.
