Abstract
Das Programm Impact Innovation wurde nach zwei Pilotausschreibungen 2017 und 2018 als laufende Ausschreibung in der FFG etabliert. Es verfolgt die Verbreiterung der Innovationsbasis, die Verbreiterung des Zugangs zu einer FFG-Förderung und erfolgreichere Innovationsprojekte als Ziele.
Insgesamt kann Impact Innovation nach nunmehr sieben Jahren Laufzeit als Erfolg bewertet werden. Dies zeigt die vorliegende Evaluierung der laufenden Ausschreibung seit 2019 sowohl bei der Analyse abgeschlossener Projekte (ex-post Evaluierung) als auch bei den Workshops mit laufenden Projekten und bei der Betrachtung der Programmebene (begleitende Evaluierung): Die Programmziele wurden in hohem Maße erreicht; Die Antragsteller:innen sind mit der Organisation und Abwicklung des Programms insgesamt sehr zufrieden. Aufgrund des erweiterten Innovationsbegriffs, der auch soziale Innovationen miteinschließt, sehen sich Sozialunternehmen in besonderem Ausmaß angesprochen. Durch eine stärkere Vermittlung dieser Themen verbunden mit den prozessorientierten Projektanforderungen (Akteur:inneneinbindung, iterativer Innovationsprozess) bei der Kommunikation des Programms könnte dieser Fokus weiter gestärkt werden.
Abstract (english)
Following two pilot calls in 2017 and 2018, the Impact Innovation programme was established as an ongoing call within the FFG. It pursues the following goals: Broadening the innovation base, broadening access to FFG funding and more successful innovation projects. Overall, Impact Innovation can be considered a success after seven years of operation. This is shown by the present evaluation of the calls for proposals since 2019, both in the analysis of completed projects (ex-post evaluation) and in the workshops with ongoing projects and the activities at the programme level (accompanying evaluation): The programme objectives were achieved to a high degree; Overall, the applicants are very satisfied with the organization and implementation of the programme. Due to the broader concept of innovation, which also includes social innovations, social enterprises are particularly targeted. This focus could be further strengthened.
