Abstract
Ziel der vorliegenden Studie ist, aufbauend auf Analysen der internationalen Diskurse und Dynamiken, spezifischer nationale Zugänge zu Schlüsseltechnologien, sowie der Rahmenbedingungen in Österreich, eine aktualisierte Definition von Schlüsseltechnologien zu entwickeln und aufzuzeigen, in welchem Kontext ein Wissensbedarf für die Zuordnung und Messung besteht, um aussagekräftige und anschlussfähige Indikatoren und Messgrößen für Schlüsseltechnologien in Österreich zu entwickeln. Zudem wurden Empfehlungen für die Förderung von Schlüsseltechnologien im Kontext der österreichischen FTI-Politik gegeben.
Abstract (english)
The aim of this study is to develop an updated definition of key enabling technologies based on analyses of international discourses and dynamics, specific national approaches to key enabling technologies and the framework conditions in Austria, and to show in which context there is a need for knowledge for classification and measurement in order to develop meaningful and compatible indicators and metrics for key enabling technologies in Austria. In addition, recommendations were made for the promotion of key enabling technologies in the context of Austrian RTI policy.
