Abstract
Unterschiedliche empirische Befunde verweisen auf die positiven Auswirkungen von Qualifikationen und Ausbildungen auf Lebenschancen und gesellschaftliche Teilhabe. Demnach hat ein Mehr an Kompetenzen einen entscheidenden Einfluss auf die Zugangschancen zum Arbeitsmarkt, den Verbleib im Arbeitsmarkt aber auch auf die soziale Integration (OECD 2021, Steiner et al. 2016). Um Jugendlichen und Erwachsenen auch nach Beendigung des schulischen Ausbildungsweges einen Zugang zum Erwerb von Kompetenzen und Bildungsabschlüssen zu ermöglichen, wurde im Jahr 2012 die
Initiative Erwachsenenbildung (IEB) geschaffen. Die Initiative Erwachsenenbildung ist eine Länder-Bund-Initiative, welche Fördermittel zur Realisierung von Bildungsangeboten in den Bereichen Basisbildung (BaB) und Pflichtschulabschluss (PSA) zur Verfügung stellt (Initiative EB 2023).
Abstract (english)
Various empirical findings point to the positive effects of qualifications and training on life chances and social participation. According to this, an increase in skills has a decisive influence on the chances of accessing the labour market, remaining in the labour market and also on social integration (OECD 2021, Steiner et al. 2016). In order to give young people and adults access to the acquisition of skills and educational qualifications even after leaving school, the Adult Education Initiative (IEB) was created in 2012. The Adult Education Initiative is a federal-state initiative that provides funding for the realisation of educational programmes in the areas of basic education (BaB) and compulsory school-leaving qualifications (PSA) (Initiative EB 2023).
